Three scents that smell like a Puerto Rican house rather than a candle shop. Coquito — coconut, rum, nutmeg and cinnamon, the holiday drink. Azúcar — cinnamon, honey and butter, somewhere between a snickerdoodle and a bakery at 7am. Abuela's Bakery — saffron, caramelised sugar and vanilla.
All three are made for us by Valorosa: a coconut-soy wax blend with an FSC-certified wooden wick, 8.5 oz, and a 50–60 hour burn. Trim the wick to a quarter inch before each burn and let the first burn reach the edge of the glass.
