Description
Meet your new kitchen essential: Chulería en Pote Original. Chef Vivoni's all-purpose Puerto Rican adobo, built on paprika, turmeric, garlic and onion with a little brown sugar and coffee behind them. Made in Puerto Rico, it adds depth, warmth and sabor criollo to everything you already cook.
How to Use
Chulería en Pote Original is incredibly versatile. Use it as a dry rub on chicken, pork or beef before grilling or roasting. Stir it into rice, beans or soups for an instant flavour boost. Mix a spoonful with olive oil for a quick aromatic marinade for vegetables or seafood. Sprinkle it over scrambled eggs, avocado toast or roasted potatoes for a savoury Puerto Rican twist on an everyday meal. Start light and adjust to taste.

Why You'll Love It
Chulería en Pote Original is the jar you stop thinking about. Chicken on a Tuesday, rice on a Wednesday, eggs on a Saturday — it seasons all of it without you reaching past it for something else. The blend is built the way a cook would build it: paprika and smoked paprika for depth, turmeric for colour, a little brown sugar to round the salt, and coffee underneath doing the thing coffee does to meat. The reusable glass jar comes with a wooden spoon, so it lives next to the stove rather than in a cupboard.
Frequently Asked Questions
Is this an adobo or a sazón?
An adobo — the jar reads Adobo de Especias / All Purpose Seasoning. You put it on chicken, pork or beef before cooking, and stir it into rice, beans and soups as they go. If you want the difference explained properly, our guide to adobo vs sazón covers it.
Is it spicy?
No heat at all. Original is the balanced base of the line. For heat, the Spicy jar adds red pepper.
What is coffee doing in a seasoning?
Working like it does in a barbecue rub — a little bitterness and roast that makes meat taste more of itself. You will not taste it as coffee.
What does “2% or less of other spices” mean?
It is how the producer declares the small-quantity ingredients on the jar. We publish the declaration as written rather than guessing what is inside it.
